Ashok Wadhwa is the Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Ambit Private Limited and a Non-Executive Director of Ambit Finvest Private Limited. He founded Ambit in 1997 and has been instrumental in building it into one of India’s premier full-service investment banks. Alongside Ambit, he co-founded RSM & Co., a tax advisory firm, and led its growth into a leading Indian consulting firm before its merger with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2007. Ashok has steered a broad gamut of landmark transactions across sectors and geographies and is widely recognized for his leadership in Investment Banking.
Prior to founding Ambit, he was the Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen, Mumbai. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Priyadarshini Academy Award for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Financial Management and has actively contributed to several industry bodies, having served as President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Member of the Managing Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Member of the Managing Committee of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Ashwini Kakkar is the Chairman and an Independent Director on the Ambit Board. He has served as an Independent Director since 2005 and as a Chairman since April 2013. He has held leadership positions with several global organizations, including Otis Elevator Company, Philips India Ltd., International General Electric India Ltd., and Thomas Cook India Ltd.
At Thomas Cook, he led the Indian business while overseeing operations across the region from Singapore to Egypt and served as a Director on the company’s global board. In 2006-07, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey and has since been associated with ventures including Mercury Travels Ltd., Mercury Himalayan Exploration, Via.com, Explore Broadcasting Ltd., and Akshay Software Pvt. Ltd. A distinguished member of the Institute of Directors, London, he was conferred the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite by the French Government in 2007. Gautam Gupte is the Whole Time Director and Group Chief Operating Officer at Ambit. He has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, he specializes in advising clients on the SEBI takeover code, SEBI ICDR listing and other capital market regulations.
Prior to his current role, he was a Director in the Corporate Finance business at Ambit, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of capital market transactions. Gautam has advised on over 40 capital market transactions, including open offers under the SEBI Takeover Code, delisting offers, buybacks offers, initial public offerings (IPOs), qualified institutional placements (QIPs), mergers, block deals, and rights issues. Prior to joining Ambit, he spent nine years at SBI Capital Markets Limited, where he advised on capital markets, project advisory, and fund-raising transactions. He began his career with Tata Motors Limited.

Ameet Parikh is an Independent Director on the Ambit Board. He is the Managing Partner of Morphis Business Advisory, the successor to Tranzmute Capital & Management, which he co-founded in 2011.
Prior to his current role, Ameet held national and global leadership positions at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. Later, he founded Axis Risk Consulting, which was subsequently acquired by Genpact. He has over three decades of experience where he has advised companies across a wide range of industries, ranging from health and life sciences, manufacturing, technology services, business process outsourcing, and advertising.

Anjali Raina is an Independent Director on the Ambit Board. She is also the Executive Director of the Harvard Business School India Research Center and serves as a Director of Harvard Business Publishing India, Harvard Global Support Centre India, Kotak AMC, Raina Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd., and the European Center for Executive Development (CEDEP). She has over 25 years of leadership experience across banking, financial services, and executive education.
Prior to joining Harvard, Anjali spent 15 years with Citigroup, India and over a decade with ANZ Grindlays Bank PLC, where she held leadership roles across corporate and retail banking, human resources and training. At the Harvard Business School India Research Center, she focuses on understanding and documenting emerging trends while fostering relationships with regional leaders to facilitate research, educational programs, community building and faculty development. Anjali’s forte lies in placing the customer (internal and external) at the center of any issue and design a customer-centric solution. She is skilled at team dynamics and creating an enabling environment to increase team productivity. She has also co-authored several Harvard Business School case studies on organizations and leaders, including Aadhaar, Nykaa, upGrad, India Stack, and Naina Lal Kidwai.

Berjis Desai is an Independent Director on the Ambit Board. Prior to establishing his independent legal practice, Berjis served as the Managing Partner of J. Sagar Associates (JSA) from 2003 and as its Senior Partner from 2016. He is now an independent legal counsel engaged in Private Client Practice into succession and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and promoter families through wills, trusts, and family arrangements. A former journalist, Berjis is also a writer and columnist.
Berjis graduated with First Class Honours from Elphinstone College, secured first rank in the LL.B. examination at the University of Bombay, was awarded the Rotary International Scholarship to pursue postgraduate law at the University of Cambridge, UK, and stood first in the Solicitors’ Examination.

Kentaro Konishi is an Executive Director on the Ambit Board and Managing Director in the Group CEO’s Office. He brings over 25 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets across Japan and key financial markets, including India, China, Taiwan, and Singapore.
Prior to joining Ambit, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Daiwa Capital Markets India, overseeing the equity broking and investment banking. He subsequently led Daiwa’s Shanghai operations, focusing on M&A advisory services in China, before serving as President of Daiwa Cathay Capital Markets in Taiwan, where he managed equity broking business. Since 2022, he has been the Deputy President of Daiwa Capital Markets Singapore Ltd., overseeing businesses across equity broking, fixed income, wealth management, and investment banking. During his tenure in Singapore and Tokyo, he managed the strategic relationship and transactions between Ambit and Daiwa and also served as a Non-Executive Director on the Ambit Board for over 2.5 years.

Pradip Shah is an Independent Director on the Ambit Board. He played a pivotal role in founding CRISIL, India’s first credit rating agency, and Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), India’s first retail housing finance company. He also helped establish the Indocean Fund, a pioneer foreign India-dedicated private equity fund, in association with affiliates of Chase Capital Partners and Soros Fund Management, and co-founded the AMP–IndAsia India Fund in association with AMP. In 1998, Pradip founded IndAsia, a corporate finance and investment advisory firm. He also serves as Chairman and Director on the boards of several companies and is actively associated with various non-profit organizations as a Trustee and Governing Council Member.

Sanjay Sakhuja is a Non-Executive Director on the Ambit Board. Sanjay joined Ambit in 2003 as a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice and led the business from 2009 to 2013.

Prior to joining Ambit, Sanjay held leadership roles at Lazard, Arthur Andersen, Indal, and Citibank.

Tarun is an Independent Director on the Ambit Board. He is also a Founding Partner of Naviter Capital, a London-based investment firm specializing in private debt originated through fintech lending platforms, and Sigma Lending LLP, a direct lending platform. He has over 35 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, and private credit.
Prior to co-founding Naviter Capital in 2013, Tarun spent 28 years with Nomura, Lehman Brothers, and Morgan Stanley, where he held senior leadership positions across London, New York, and Tokyo, including Chief Executive Officer for EMEA and India, and Global Head of Fixed Income and Equities. He has served on the boards of several companies across US, UK, Japan, and India. Tarun is also actively involved in the social sector and currently serves as Chairman of Dasra’s Global Council, a leading Indian non-profit organization focused on catalyzing social change and advancing India’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He was formerly a Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI) Fellow at Stanford University.

Sushant brings over 24 years of experience, including 17 years at Ambit in various senior leadership roles and as a member of the Executive Committee. He has led the Asset Management business for more than five years, during which he has grown the AUM over tenfold and expanded the franchise to 10 cities.
Before this role, Sushant headed Ambit’s Principal Investment business, investing the firm’s balance sheet in listed equities. Over six years, his team delivered exceptional returns by running a high-conviction, concentrated portfolio focused on small- and mid-cap Indian companies.
He began his journey at Ambit in the Group CEO’s office, spending nearly five years working on M&A, capital raising, new business development, joint ventures, leadership initiatives, and the firm’s first private equity fundraise. Prior to Ambit, he worked with global firms such as MSCI Inc. and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Dhiraj Agarwal brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the Equity markets across Equity Research, Sales, and management of Long-Short funds.
During the period of 2003-2007, Dhiraj managed the Boyer Allan India Long-Short fund while also providing advisory services for the India portfolio of the Boyer Allan Asia Pacific Long-Short fund, which reached its peak with approximately USD 1.5 billion in assets under management.

A senior banker with an impeccable leadership track record, Anil brings in considerable expertise in Information Technology, Risk Management, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, Financial inclusion, Enterprise Transformation, Quality Improvement, and Administration. He is presently an Advisor and Consultant in Financial Services sector.
Anil is ex-Group Head and ex-Chief Information Officer of HDFC Bank. He is well known in the Banking Industry as a Technology leader who spearheaded HDFC Bank’s IT function at a market leadership position. At HDFC Bank, he also led the various other functions like Legal, Financial Inclusion, Quality and Customer Service . As Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for IT, Finance, Operations & Legal functions and was part of the core leadership team which helped restructure and recapitalize Centurion Bank of Punjab. Mr. Narang has more than two and a half decades of experience in the financial services industry across building retail MSME business, corporate finance, debt and equity capital markets, and structured capital raising solutions. Prior to joining Ambit, he was a senior member of the KKR (NBFC) business, where he originated and underwrote numerous lending transactions. Previously, he was a Director at Barclays Capital (Investment Banking), responsible for client coverage across large Indian Groups, mid-market clients, and financial sponsors. Mr. Narang also worked in the Investment Banking division at ABN AMRO Bank and PwC. He has managed relationships across industries and diligence and managed portfolios for several years while being part of KKR, Barclays, and ABN AMRO. Alongside Ambit, he co-founded RSM & Co., a tax advisory firm. He built RSM into a world-class Indian consulting house over a decade, which then merged with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2007.

Rahul Mody is Managing Director & Co-Head of Investment Banking at Ambit. He is also responsible for the Infrastructure vertical, comprising the Utilities, Power, Energy, Sustainability, Transport and Telecom sectors, as well as the Real Estate vertical.
He has 28 years of experience in Investment Banking. Rahul joined Ambit in 2014 from Greenhill, London where he was a Managing Director and Partner. In total, Rahul practised in Europe based out of London for 13 years.
He has also previously worked with Dresdner Kleinwort, Mumbai and London, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Having extensive relationships with companies and financial investors in India and globally, he has advised on several M&A as well as equity and debt capital raising transactions worth over $50bn.

Most recently, he operated as the Founder of Altflow Advisors in Bengaluru, where he built a data solutioning platform for the BFSI ecosystem and advised on capital raising strategies.
Prior to this, he served as the CEO of Qapita Marketplace in Singapore, and prior to that, as the Managing Director & Head of Investment Banking at Spark Capital Advisors. He has also served as an Advisor on the Investment Recommendation Committee of InCred Growth Partners Fund I & II, with deep expertise in credit management and analytics.
Skanda holds an MSE in Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan, USA and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Madras, Chennai.

Sushant brings over 24 years of experience, including 17 years at Ambit in various senior leadership roles and as a member of the Executive Committee. He has led the Asset Management business for more than five years, during which he has grown the AUM over tenfold and expanded the franchise to 10 cities.
Before this role, Sushant headed Ambit’s Principal Investment business, investing the firm’s balance sheet in listed equities. Over six years, his team delivered exceptional returns by running a high-conviction, concentrated portfolio focused on small- and mid-cap Indian companies.
He began his journey at Ambit in the Group CEO’s office, spending nearly five years working on M&A, capital raising, new business development, joint ventures, leadership initiatives, and the firm’s first private equity fundraise. Prior to Ambit, he worked with global firms such as MSCI Inc. and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
A Chartered Accountant, Sushant also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
